There are over 1.4 million refugees living in Uganda. Many lost their safety, dignity, and hope when they fled from war and persecution in their home countries. Although they arrive in a safe country, they are vulnerable to further suffering through extreme poverty, exploitation, and abuse.

Amani Sasa is committed to providing holistic, in-depth care to these women, men and children so that they can experience healing and transformation. Amani Sasa is the only organization in the area caring for the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of people in our community. We are dedicated to walking alongside refugees as they experience God’s hope and healing.

• Emergency food, medical care and housing

• In-depth trauma healing through counseling, group therapy and music therapy

• Practical vocational and business skills

• Developmental resources and support during a child’s first year of life
